The ISPN and University Counseling Center hosted a Coffee Break, featuring a presentation on managing pressures and anxieties by Counselor Mihnea Vasilescu and a discussion on the types of support available at the Counseling Center.

This semester, we've decided to prioritize the practical health needs of international students, building on the success of our previous collaborations with the University Counseling Center (UCC). Our aim is to create a regular, safe, and social space where international students can share their concerns and find solutions. Our ultimate goal is to address the unique challenges faced by international students and promote their overall well-being.

On Friday, February 24, 2023, the ISPN and University Counseling Center teamed up to host a Coffee Break that offered social time and wellness counseling. The event featured a valuable presentation by Counselor Mihnea Vasilescu on managing life’s pressures and anxieties, as well as a discussion on the types of support available at the University Counseling Center. It attracted 11 attendees, including master’s and doctoral students and visiting scholars. Throughout the session, everyone actively engaged in the discussion, exploring useful techniques and approaches for addressing mental health issues. The coffee break lasted for about an hour, during which all participants expressed their gratitude for Mihnea's presentation and shared their current life challenges. Attendees praised this event for its exceptional relevance to their lives. Mihnea also shared his business card, encouraging participants to visit the Counseling Center.

Our upcoming events include a Conversation with SOE Leadership and another Coffee Break on March 24th, then a Beyond OPT seminar on March 31st. We're eagerly looking forward to seeing more friends!
